Course aim

To provide an understanding of infant loss, the legal implications and how best to support Mums and their families through the loss of a baby.

Course facilitator

Kate Blakemore, Counsellor and Founder of Motherwell Cheshire.

Kate has vast experience of working with Mums (including teenage Mums) who have faced the loss of their baby / infant loss. This may be through bereavement or through their child being taken into the care of local authority.

Forever Mums CPD awareness training will provide counsellors with a clearer understanding of infant loss and the legal implications. We will also look at how best to support Mums and their families through the loss of a baby during the second part of the training day.

Who would benefit from attending?

Counsellors / Student Counsellors / Specialist Practitioners working with adults or CYP clients.

9.30am for refreshments of tea / coffee / juice

Course starts promptly

Lunch arrangements

Lunch not provided, so please bring along your own lunch.

CPD certificate provided for 6 hrs CPD.

Limited to 14 places.

Initially, places are only available to staff and volunteers of Listening Ear. Any remaining places will be offered externally after 2 September 2019.

Payment may be made in full at the time of booking, or you can choose to have the payment collected in installments via your salary.
