An evening for those who have lost someone to suicide to come together to remember their loved ones, and support one another in a safe and understanding environment, has been organised to take place in Halton in September.

The event is being supported by Listening Ear’s AMPARO service, which supports those who have been bereaved by suicide.

The evening will provide an opportunity for those with lived experience to share their personal account of the affects of suicide; poems, readings and a selection of songs to give space for some quiet reflection and remembrance.

A photograph slideshow will run throughout the evening, and anyone wishing to display photographs of their loved ones should send  send images and/or messages via email to HIT@halton.gov.uk with ‘Memorial Service’ as the subject, by 30th August 019. Please note all images will be deleted after the event and will not be shared anywhere else.

If preferred, a photo can be brought along on the evening to be placed on a memorial wall in the venue; all photographs will be returned at the end of the evening.

There will be a number of support services available on the evening for anyone requiring comfort or support.

Free places for the event, which will take place on Tuesday, 10 September 2019 from 7pm – 9pm (Add to Calendar) at Halton Stadium, Lower House Lane, Widnes, WA8 7DZ (View Map) can be booked via this link.
