FAB offers a safe and confidential place for adults, providing ongoing support after you have completed counselling for bereavement. At a FAB session you will be welcomed by experienced group facilitators who help members to support each other. ‘Fabbers’ can also take part in a range of activities suggested by the group. Come along and try something new from calligraphy to quizzing to yoga – great for making new friends and generally starting to enjoy life again.
- You will never be forced to speak within the group if you don’t feel comfortable with this, but we think that you will be surprised how the group process can help. Tissues are provided, but you can expect lots of laughter, too!
- Drop-in 1-2-1 sessions are also available to group members when they feel may need extra support.
Virtual sessions are held fortnightly on a Thursday via Teams – 18:00 – 19:30pm
Face to face sessions take place on the second Thursday of every month – 12:30 – 14:30pm
To join the FAB group, speak to your counsellor or contact Laura (Aftercare Lead): laura.seddon@listening-ear.co.uk
- Everyone is so nice and friendly and Lindsey and Laura are really nice.
- I love coming to the group and have been coming almost 14 years. I have met lots of lovely people and made many friends. Lindsey and Laura have been wonderful and have given the group a better outlook
- I have made friends and am getting out more instead of staying in the house talking to no-one.
- The group has enabled me to face some things that I would otherwise avoid.
