Refer for Counselling
Counselling is available face-to-face, by telephone or by video call, depending on the service and individual circumstances.
We provide counselling through a number of commissioned services. Please select the service that applies to you or the person you are referring to and follow the appropriate referral route.
Adults
We currently accept referrals for adults who are:
- Bereaved and living in, or registered with a GP in, Knowsley
- Bereaved by suicide in South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire
- Victim-survivors of domestic abuse in Knowsley
- Victim-survivors of domestic abuse in Warwickshire
- Perpetrators of domestic abuse in Knowsley
- Looked After Children transitioning to adult mental health services, aged 18–25, in Knowsley
- Employees of Knowsley Borough Council, Sefton Council, St Helens Council, a school in Liverpool, or an independent organisation subscribed to our VIDA occupational health counselling service
Children and Young People
We currently accept referrals for children and young people who are:
- Attending a school in Knowsley
- Affected by domestic abuse and living in St Helens
- Affected by domestic abuse and living in Warwickshire
Warwickshire Domestic Abuse Counselling
Our Warwickshire service has a dedicated referral route because referrals are made through approved referral partners.

All Other Counselling Referrals
For all other eligible Listening Ear counselling services listed above, please use our general counselling referral form.

Children, young people and adults living or working in:
- Kent & Medway
- Coventry & Warwickshire
- Thames Valley (excluding Milton Keynes)
- Lincolnshire
- Mid, South and West Essex
- North Central London
- Staffordshire & Stoke-on-Trent
Adults living or working in:
- Lancashire
- South Yorkshire
Or those currently serving within the British Armed Forces across the country.
