Listening Ear are delighted to name Katarina Johnson-Thompson as our first Charity Ambassador.

Katarina confirmed herself as the world’s leading multi eventer in 2019 when taking the World Championship title in Doha and breaking the British Heptathlon record at the same time.

Kat competed in her first Olympics at London in 2012 at the age of just 19 years old.   She was crowned the European Indoor Pentathlon Champion with the 2nd highest total of all time at the start of 2015.  At the age of just 23 she competed in her second Olympics in Rio, breaking the British high jump and world heptathlon high jump records, finishing 6th in the heptathlon overall.  In 2018, Katarina was crowned the Commonwealth Games Champion and the World Indoor Pentathlon Champion.  Her eyes are now set firmly on Tokyo 2020.

Katarina is a proud supporter of the work that Listening Ear does with children and young people of Merseyside who have experienced bereavement, separation or loss.
