At Listening Ear, we believe in the transformative power of counselling and emotional support. As we look back on this past year, we are reflecting on a period of growth, learning, and meaningful impact. We’re proud to share an insight into what we’ve achieved together.

Over the last twelve months, we supported almost 3000 individuals through counselling, practical guidance, emotional support, and signposting to the most appropriate services. Our specialist teams have continued to make a real difference for people and families navigating bereavement or loss, bereavement by suicide, and domestic abuse. Around a third of those we have supported are children and young people, reinforcing just how vital accessible, timely help can be.

Our work has extended beyond direct service delivery, too. We have invested heavily in strengthening the wider community of care by training over 100 professionals across the sector through our Mindset service. This has enabled more practitioners to feel confident and equipped to offer high‑quality support to their own clients. We have also had the privilege of contributing to the development of future counsellors through structured training and supported work placements, helping to nurture a skilled and compassionate next generation of the workforce.

None of this would be possible without the dedication and commitment of our colleagues, partners, volunteers, and the individuals who place their trust in us. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey.

Our mission is to help people of all ages affected by bereavement and loss to thrive – not just survive.  As we look ahead, we remain committed to creating safe, compassionate, and empowering spaces for all who come through our doors.
